Achieve your riding goals with the help of Horse magazine and Horseware. We have joined forces to offer you the chance to receive training from one of the world's leading competition riders.

Eventer Lizzie Brown of Team Horseware will give you a private flatwork or jumping lesson on your own horse, where you can pick up tips to improve your performance, whether you just enjoy schooling at home or have competition goals to aim for.

Horseware is committed to helping riders acheive their dreams and has launched a Making a Champion series. A series of mini documentaries will share an insight into the talent and dedication it takes to reach the highest levels of equestrian sport and become a member of Team Horseware.

Our first prize winner will also receive a bumper package of clothing and rugs, worth around £750. One runner-up will receive clothing and rugs to the value of £500.

How to enter

To be in with a chance of winning this incredible prize, write in and tell us why you deserve to win. We require a written entry of no more than 500 words, telling us about yourself and your horse and why you would benefit from a lesson with a top rider. Include your name, age, address and a daytime telephone number. Attach at least one clear photography, showing you and your horse, preferably in action.

As well as direct entries, we are also inviting nominations, so if you know someone who is deserving of this prize, write and tell us why. You will still need to provide a written entry and photograph of the person you are nominating.

Terms and conditions

The competition is open to those aged 16 and over. The training shoot will take place on a date to be agreed at Lizzie Brown's yard near Cirencester, Glos. It is the responsibility of the winner to travel to the photo shoot and not travel or accommodation expenses will be provided. The lesson will be on the winner's own horse. If the winner is unable to make any of three offered dates, the lesson prize will be forfeited. 

The judges' decision is final. The winner is expected to have their own insurance in place. Neither Horse magazine or Horseware will accept any liability for loss or damage that happens as a result of the competition.
