Cabin fever

Life at Horse magazine isn't all cosy chats with famous riders, glamorous press parties and all the latest gorgeous equestrian products landing on our desks.

Oh no, that's only about 95% of it.

In all seriousness, while we love reading and writing about horses all day, we do sometimes look wistfully out of the window over the London skyline, and wish we could be out riding instead.

It's particularly the case during the warmer months – a sunny day outside makes for plenty of 'box-walking' among the staff at Horse.

Still, it's great to know when our readers are making the most of their horse-time, even when we can't.

And we do get to venture out of the office and meet our readers occasionally, such as when we go on photoshoots and training Masterclasses.

Next Monday, instead of filing on to my usual SouthEastern train to London Bridge with all the other commuters, I'll be off to report on a dressage Masterclass with Amy Stovold – my first outing this month.

After several weeks of box rest, I can't wait for some turnout time. Fingers crossed for a nice day.
