Don't forget us larger riders


I am writing to rant about the non-availability of jodhpurs for ladies who happen to be a size 18, 20 or above.

I found a company, Fuller Fillies, which caters for larger sizes but none of my local tack shops stocks their goods.

Therefore, I have to do all of my shopping online, which means choosing an item by looking at a photo alone. This can often result in the inconvenience of having to send them back.

So why can't any of the major clothing companies produce jodhs in bigger sizes?

Surely with us being in the grips of a credit crunch, they should be looking at getting more satisfied customers.

Not everyone who rides is a size 12 or 14 and it is a well-known fact that there are a lot of bigger ladies riding now.

And what are we expected to wear?

So, come on clothing manufacturers, am I really asking too much to be able to go to my local tack shop and buy a pair of jodhpurs in a size 20 – just for happy hacking, nothing fancy – and not have to pay through the nose for the privilege?
