Ian Stark joined World Horse Welfare at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials 2014 last week to talk horse safety with British Eventing’s National Safety Officer, Jonathan Clissold and Badminton Horse Trials vet, Richard Hepburn.

The documentary, which you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sp6vNao1owk explores how British Eventing data collated over the years has improved safety in the sport and gives an inside view of the medical services provided for competing horses.

The film underlines World Horse Welfare’s support for the responsible use of horses in sport and experience as independent welfare advisor to the FEI and British Horseracing Authority that safety measures need not detract the spectacle from sporting events – Jonathan and Richard talk safety for the benefit of horse and rider and Ian talks of thrilling fences.
